Restaurants in Stuttgart

Stuttgart is well-endowed with good dining opportunities and finding a suitable place to eat should be no problem. As a big city with immigrants from around the world, Stuttgart offers a range of cuisines but the local speciality is hearty Swabian food which goes well with wine produced in the region. It is worth making a reservation at the best restaurants but most places are open to walk-in custom. Tipping of up to 10% is common when the meal has been good and the service attentive.

The Stuttgart restaurants below have been grouped into three pricing categories:

Expensive (over €75)

Moderate (€40 to €75)

Cheap (up to €40)

The prices quoted are for an average three-course meal and for a bottle of house wine or cheapest equivalent per person; they include service charges and taxes but not tip.
