Boat tours
Numerous operators organise boat tours from Palma to other parts of the island. Cruceros Marco Polo, one of the most popular boat companies, offers daily tours of the Bay of Palma. Its one-hour boat ride skirts the bay and the harbour, taking in views of the city's waterfront. Attraction Catamarans also offer an evening bay cruise as well as five-hour boat trips from Ca'n Pastilla and Magaluf to Palma.

Bus tours
The Palma City Sightseeing Bus is a hop-on, hop-off service, leaving every 20 minutes from 18 bus stops at the main sights around the city. Stops include major attractions such as Poble Espanyol, Passeig Maritim and Plaza del Mercat. Tickets are available online, in hotels, tourist information counters and on the bus itself and can be valid for 24 or 48 hours.

Cuevas del Drach
Located on Mallorca's east coast, the Caves of Drach are 65km (40 miles) away from Palma and make for a great day trip by car. As one of the island's most outstanding tourist attractions, these caves are extremely impressive – with stalactites and stalagmites extending up to 25m (82ft) in height from the cave floor.

Serra de Tramuntana
The Tramuntana Mountains offer some of the island's most spectacular scenery, having been recently awarded World Heritage Statues by UNESCO. The highest point of the range, Puig Major, reaches 1,445m (4,740ft) and is the highest mountain in the Balearic Islands.
