Driving directions:

From the east (including the centre of Innsbruck), follow the A12, take the exit marked ‘Innsbruck West/Flughafen’ and follow the road to the airport.

From the south, follow the A13 north to Innsbruck and then drive west on the A12; take the exit marked ‘Innsbruck West/Flughafen’ and follow the road to the airport.

From the west, drive east on the A12, take the exit marked ‘Vols Kranebitten/Flughafen’ and follow the road to the airport.

From the north, follow the B177 southbound, following signs to the airport.

Public Transport

Public transport road:

Bus: Local transport company IVB (tel: (512) 5307 500; www.ivb.at) operates buses (bus F) that run every 15 minutes from morning to evening between the airport and the main station in Innsbruck (journey time: 20 minutes; fare: €2.00). The bus stop at the airport is located immediately in front of the terminal building.

Taxi: Taxi ranks (tel: (650) 305 2594; www.taxi-innsbruck.info) are located in front of the airport terminal building.

There is an ATM in the arrivals area.

Food:

Bread, pastries and cakes can be purchased from a bakery, while a café offers coffee and snacks. There is also an excellent restaurant serving a wide variety of dishes and a bar at the gates.

Shopping:

The airport shop has an extensive range of newspapers, magazines and books, tobacco and cigarettes, souvenirs, films and travel accessories. Duty-free shopping is also available.

Luggage:

There are two lost and found counters (tel: (512) 225 25348) in the arrivals hall.

Other:

Baby changing facilities are available in the terminal building.

Airport facilities

Conference and business:

Meeting rooms are available for hire. The nearby Penz Hotel West (tel: (512) 22514; www.penz-west.at) offers a good range of meeting and function rooms.

Communication Facilities:

Wi-Fi internet access is available free of charge.

Disabled facilities:

Innsbruck Airport has several arrangements in place to make travelling easier for disabled passengers, including designated parking areas, a special lift and toilets. For specific boarding and disembarking assistance, travellers should contact the airline representative at the gate.

Car parking:

The airport offers open-air parking in car parks P1, P2, P5 and P7, as well as 750 parking spaces in the multistorey car park opposite the terminal building. Parking is free for the first 30 minutes. Further information is available from the parking office (tel: 512 2252 5175).

Car rental:

Car hire companies represented at the airport include Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz and Megadrive. Desks for these companies are located in the terminal's main hall and multistorey car park.
